Social distancing update
The Northern Ireland Executive has removed social distancing restrictions for theatres. However, at the Lyric Theatre we have decided that we will gradually relax the rules, and will still have a limit on close face to face contact.
For The Border Game we will release all rows in the Main Stage, but still maintain a one metre distance horizontally between each booking. This will mean c60% capacity for performances of The Border Game which runs until the end of October. This change will take effect from Tuesday 5th October 2021. There will be no change to performances on Saturday 2nd October and Sunday 3rd October.
We will not yet be asking for proof of vaccination status or a negative lateral flow test for the performances of The Border Game. At the Lyric safety remains a priority, and we will continue to take all appropriate measures to protect our audiences, artists and staff. This includes having good ventilation, providing hand sanitisers throughout the building and asking all patrons to wear face coverings.
We plan to move to full capacity from the end of October 2021. From this date, we will be asking all our patrons to complete a Covid Status Check at the entrance to the theatre. Further details on this will be available in the forthcoming weeks.
We take this opportunity to thank all our patrons, artists and staff for their support and co-operation during this time.
