If you don't fancy the spotlight you can still share your best joke with us using the hashtag #DeathofaComedian to be in with a chance of winning tickets to be at the very first performance of this new play on February 7th by one of Northern Ireland's best playwrights. To celebrate the launch of Death of a Comedian, Owen McCafferty's new play, we're on the search for Northern Ireland's best joke.
Comedy Queen Nuala McKeever and King of Radio Stephen Clements visited the Lyric to launch Owen McCafferty's deliciously dark new play, Death of a Comedian which will have its world premiere on the Danske Bank stage in February.
To celebrate the launch, Nuala McKeever has been mentoring Citybeat's Stephen Clements in the art of stand-up comedy before his first ever stand up gig at Victoria Square Shopping Centre on Saturday 17th January. Between sets you will have the opportunity to tell your best joke, so if you fancy yourself as the next Billy Connolly or Jo Brand, come down to Victoria Square between 1-3pm.
