A Thank You to the Dead Rabbit!
There’s nothing like those reminders of home whilst you are away...
The Lyric’s production of Good Vibrations performed to amazing audiences at New York’s Irish Arts Center earlier this year, thanks to the support of our incredible funders and sponsors. But of course Good Vibrations was more than just a stage production; it was a cultural bridge connecting Belfast and New York, telling a unique story about our city on an international stage, and sharing the story of music and punk between the two cities.
We were delighted to have had the opportunity to make and reignite connections with Irish and Irish-American organisations in the US during our time there, one of which was The Dead Rabbit - an award winning Belfast institution in New York!
The Dead Rabbit team were generous with their time and support for us, inviting the Good Vibrations cast and the Musical Director, Katie Richardson, to play an acoustic gig in their Taproom Extension while we were in town.
This event also served as a fundraiser for the Lyric Theatre, Belfast in partnership with Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey, where $1 of every Irish Coffee sold went towards supporting the Lyric’s vital outreach work with young people in schools and communities across NI. We are so lucky to have been one of the charities receiving this support and generosity from The Dead Rabbit, who are a beacon of philanthropic giving, and absolutely understand the value of these arts & business partnerships. The Dead Rabbit have also recently supported arts organisations The Oh Yeah Music Centre and The MAC, amongst many others. To read more about The Dead Rabbit's Charitable Partners, Click Here.
Thank you to Jack, Liam, Conor, Ryan and all the team at The Dead Rabbit for their continued work in promoting, nurturing and supporting Irish arts. You ROCK!
