Seán McDermott
Seán McDermott is a theatremaker and performer based in Dublin. Working foremost with his theatre company Acushla, performing, devising and set designing 2023’s ‘if all the times i cared had names (i’d name you all the time)’. Seán’s other roles of note include playing ‘Stephen Dedalus’ for the 2023 Bloomsday Festival, ‘Cottard’ from Albert Camus’ The Plague at the Danail Chirpansky International Student Theater Festival, and ‘John’ in 2024’s Nancy Blue at The Smock Alley Theatre. In 2022 he devised and performed in Jack Scott Stanley’s Potatoland at the Samuel Beckett Theatre. In the same venue, he directed and devised his original show ‘A Mile High in Polka Dots’, and shortly after starred in Conor Bustos’ At Home With The Gays.
