Rogue Encounters is a vibrant and inclusive theatre company that brings together people of all abilities and backgrounds to create dynamic physical theatre.
Facilitated by a dedicated and experienced professional team, performances are devised from the shared imaginings and life experiences of participants.
At the heart of this practice is authentic inclusion — breaking down traditional divisions of physical and learning ability, religion, race, and social background — with the cornerstones of skill-sharing, empathy, and creative generosity.
We are proud to announce Rogue Encounters as our Applied Physical Theatre Company in Residence at the Lyric Theatre, building on a long-standing and valued 14- year partnership.
The residency includes a 12-week training module on Tuesday evenings beginning November, and a concluding public display in the Lyric’s Naughton Studio Theatre in March 2026, bringing bold, imaginative work to our audiences and further enriching our shared commitment to diversity, creativity, and community connection.
Marvellous Humans
Marvellous Humans is Rogue Encounters’ brand-new training course — a celebration of creativity, connection, and the extraordinary potential in every person.
Open to people of all abilities and backgrounds, this dynamic programme blends physical theatre training with skill-sharing, collaboration, and storytelling. Led by Rogue Encounters’ experienced professional team, participants will explore movement, improvisation, and performance-making, using their own ideas and lived experiences as the spark for original, powerful theatre.
Marvellous Humans isn’t just about building performance skills — it’s about building confidence, empathy, and a sense of belonging. Together, we’ll create an environment where everyone’s voice matters, where diversity is celebrated, and where creativity has no limits.
