Ivor Novello winning singer-songwriter Iain Archer returns to the Lyric for a 30th anniversary homecoming.
In 1995 a young Bangor singer songwriter audaciously filled the Lyric Theatre. In the 30 years since, Iain Archer has won two Ivor Novello Awards for Run with Snow Patrol and Hold Back The River with James Bay, the latter being nominated for a Grammy. Tonight, three decades on Iain returns to the Lyric for a rare homecoming solo show that will highlight the songwriting skills that have led Liam Gallagher, Noah Kahan, Jake Bugg, Shania Twain and a host of others to ask him to write with them.
The 4 Corners Festival seeks to inspire people from across Belfast to transform it for the peace and wellbeing of all. It consists of innovative events designed to entice people out of their own ‘corners’ of the city and into new places where they will encounter new perspectives, new ideas, and new friends. The 4 Corners Festival
The 4 Corners Festival invites you to explore the profound meaning of 'Home' in our beloved Belfast.
More than just brick and mortar, home is where stories interweave, where belonging takes root, and where hope flourishes. As we gather from every corner of our city, we celebrate the diverse tapestry of experiences that make Belfast home to so many - from those whose families have shaped these streets for generations to those who have recently chosen to make their home among us.
Through music, art, conversation, and shared experiences, we create spaces where all can feel at home, where barriers dissolve, and where we can imagine together what it means to build a home that welcomes everyone. The 4 Corners Festival 2025 is a step beyond our familiar corners, to discover new rooms in the house we share, and to work together in making our city a home where every person can thrive.
