Rogue Encounters in partnership with Lyric Theatre
This Marvellous Humans Showcase is a celebration of creativity, connection, and the extraordinary potential in every person.
Blending physical theatre training with skill-sharing, collaboration, and storytelling, the showcase is the culmination of Rogue Encounter’s brand-new all abilities 18-week training course. Everyone’s voice matters, diversity is celebrated, and creativity has no limits. Participants unite to use their own ideas and lived experiences as the spark for original, powerful theatre.

A physical theatre display of work by Rogue Encounters' core projects: Physical Graffiti & All Doors Open, directed by Trainee Artistic Leader, Billí Mills, with mentoring by Rogue Encounters Artistic Director, David Calvert. Both projects facilitate the creative imaginings of an extraordinarily diverse range of abilities, celebrating the natural gifts of each participant through collective devising and physical theatre storytelling.
Special guests will be students from St Joseph’s College, Belfast, in a dynamic display of physical theatre performance learning from workshops at the college under the supervision of David Calvert.

A special matinee in the Naughton Studio for schools, showcasing Rogue Encounters’ work at the Lyric Theatre. The matinee will include short films showcasing Rogue Encounters’ work in communities that promotes well-being and healthy living, along with a outline for the upcoming Autumn/Winter production Marvellous Humans at the Lyric, which will be extensively inclusive of young people of all abilities and interests.
Special guests on stage will be students from St Joseph’s College, Belfast, performing live in a physical theatre piece devised with Rogue Encounters Artistic Director David Calvert.
