Fancy working at the Lyric as an apprentice producer?
We are delighted to announce that the Lyric have been chosen as one of the hosts for Stage One's Regional Apprenticeships in 2016 / 2017. Stage One has received a grant from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to fund 3 x 12 month apprenticeships in Regional subsidised theatres across the UK - other theatres include, Theatr Clwyd and the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Host organisations will expose apprentices to high quality, potentially commercial work and allow them to develop the commercial aspirations of the organisation through co-productions, touring and/or transfers. Thanks to the support from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Luke Johnson, Stage One can fund the entire salary of each apprentice and in return the host organisation will train a new entrepreneurial producer by providing them with hands-on experience. The appointed producers will also receive an additional bursary to allow them to travel to and from London to take part in additional mentoring and training provided by Stage One.
Executive Producer, Jimmy Fay said, "the Stage One apprenticeship provides an unparalleled opportunity for a dynamic, new producer launching their careers at a crucial moment. We're very thankful to Stage One for choosing the Lyric as one of the hosts for the regional apprenticeships and look forward to welcoming a new member to the Lyric team in 2016."The Stage One Regional Apprentice Applications open Monday 16th November & will close on the 30th December 2015.
