American Friends of the Lyric
Become a Friend of the Lyric
Be a Friend of the Lyric and you will become a vital part of our incredible story.
As Northern Ireland's premiere theatre to produce its own productions from page to stage, the Lyric Theatre is the home of world-class theatre; nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of theatre makers and audiences. This special place has been a springboard for internationally acclaimed playwrights, poets, directors and actors. From Liam Neeson, Anthony Boyle and Geraldine Hughes to Zara Devlin, Ciarán Hinds, Roisin Gallagher, and Tara-Lynne O'Neill, the Lyric has helped to showcase talent across the world.
At the multi award-winning Lyric Theatre, we believe in the power of people, creativity, and cultural talent.
Through time and financial support, we invite you to become a champion for the Lyric Theatre’s extensive community and invest in the future potential of our actors, writers, creatives, young people, and citizens. Together, we can change lives in ways we haven’t yet imagined.
Ways to Give
If you are an American taxpayer and would like to donate in American Dollars, you can do so through The Ireland Funds or The Irish American Partnership.
Your Support Matters
Since 2004, The American Friends of the Lyric have been supporting the work of the Lyric, raising capital funds for the new building, and supporting our wider work both at home and away. Thirteen years ago we rebuilt the Lyric’s new home on the banks of the River Lagan with the help of you, our American friends, and this continues to be a source of great pride to people right across Ireland. A few years ago this special building won the prestigious Gold Medal, the highest honour in Irish Architecture.
Our work with the American Friends has been led by our Board, our Patron Liam Neeson OBE, and supported by Maebeth Fenton Martin MBE, our Honorary President of the American Friends of the Lyric.
