“I have had a most rare vision. I had a dream, past the wit of man to say what dream it was…”
The Lyric brings the theatre outside this summer with a vibrant and spectacularly fun staging of William Shakespeare’s all time classic A Midsummer Night’s Dream – where lovers fall in and out and in to love, spirits and sprites haunt the forest, an actor turns into a donkey and magic and mischief abounds everywhere.
We are thrilled to bring you this open air theatre experience as part of Midsummer At The Lyric, in collaboration with the Belfast City Council’s Belfast 2024 programme of events. This is the first staging the Lyric has undertaken in its outdoor space, where we will create a brand-new “Wooden O Stage”, for an immersive experience into Shakespeare's world-bending comedy.
The production will be delivered in collaboration with ArtsEkta, Chinese Welfare Association, Rogue Encounters with live music provided by Beyond Skin.
This production is sold out. However, we do offer the opportunity to join our waiting list for returned tickets, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To be added to the waiting list, please kindly email our box office at boxoffice@lyrictheatre.co.uk.
